Whatever is causing her fear, it tends to be irrational and not rooted in understanding and facts about assisted living, which is why it is so important to talk about it and then help her to learn more about this type of elder care.
Most reasons seniors refuse to talk about assisted living are not rooted in rational thought. The more you learn about it, the easier it will be for you to bring the topic up, talk through her fears, and overcome objections.
